Dr. Jackie Ogega is a remarkable leader with expertise in international development, peacebuilding, humanitarian assistance, education, research, and philanthropy. Her career path has spanned from teaching local youth to serving as a U.S. diplomat at USAID, a journey that has sharpened her skills in business development, program management, team leadership, training, and partnership development. Jackie has demonstrated exceptional leadership while collaborating with civil society, government, the private sector, academia, and philanthropy at various levels—from local to global. She is a co-founder of Mpanzi Empowering Women and Girls, a small community-based organization. She has also directed World Vision's initiatives focused on promoting gender equality, inclusion, and the wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults. Additionally, she has worked with numerous organizations, including Caritas, Catholic Relief Services, World Learning, and Creative Associates.
